This page explains how 247locksmiths.co.uk produces its content. It exists so that you can judge what you are reading and hold us to it.
Who we are
We are a publisher of consumer advice about locks and home security. We are not a locksmith and we do not sell goods or services. Our guides are written for UK householders and renters.
How we research
- We base guides on broadly accepted practice and, where possible, on primary sources such as published standards and official consumer guidance.
- Where a claim or figure needs a source we do not yet have, we describe it cautiously or mark it for checking rather than presenting a guess as fact.
- We do not invent statistics, prices, reviews, testimonials, awards, credentials, company histories or accreditations.
Accuracy and review
Guides carry a "last reviewed" date. Where a subject changes — for example a standard is updated or guidance moves — we aim to revisit the page. If you find something that is wrong, please tell us via the contact page.
Corrections
When a substantive error is confirmed, we correct it and note the change. We are grateful for corrections, and we do not require you to be polite about it.
Independence and advertising
Advertising and affiliate links fund the site, but they do not influence what we write. Commercial placements are labelled, kept visually separate from editorial content, and never presented as a recommendation we have not actually made. Our affiliate disclosure explains this in more detail, and our privacy and cookies page explains how advertising cookies work.
External links
We link to other sites when they are useful to you. We are not responsible for their content, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the page.
